UGA leaves an impression on Ferguson
One the many talented underclassmen at Georgia's Dawg Night last weekend was Ego Ferguson out of Frederick (Md.). The big lineman is from the south, but it was his first time on UGA's campus. He was able to tour the campus, check out the facilities, and work under the Bulldog coaches before leaving. He enjoyed the camp, but he thinks he is better than he showed.
"I did good, but I could have done better," said Ferguson. "I did not play to my expectations at Georgia and I could have done way better. The camp was nice and I liked everything, but I wanted to do more and play better."
The 6-foot-4, 270 pound defensive lineman worked out at defensive end under Coach Jon Fabris. He enjoyed his time under Coach Fab and he liked meeting the other coaches.
"Georgia coaches were great and I would love to play for them. They push you, they coach you, and I think they would be great to play for. They were all real nice and they know how to coach their players."
It was a warm and muggy night in Athens, but that is not a bad thing for Ferguson. He is actually from Florida, but he moved with his father to Maryland in 8th grade. He lives up north now, but he says he wants to return to the south as soon as possible.
