Louisville offers another St. X prospect
Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier is one of the top couple ranked teams in nearly every national prep football poll and one of their top performers this season is in his first year of high school football. Defensive end Greg Scruggs played with the marching band the past three years, but is now one of the fastest rising prospects in the Midwest.
The 6-5, 230-pound Scruggs is certainly one of the more intriguing stories in the class of 2008. There have been prospects in the past who start their football careers late in high school and immediately blow up on the college recruiting scene, but Scruggs had not seen the field since he was a sixth grader. In just over a month, Scruggs has gone from wide-eyed rookie, to highly coveted Division 1 prospect.
